Clinic Outline

4:00 to 4:15 p.m. – The Path To Success: Adam will speak briefly on the positive decisions that he feels he made throughout his career that led him to be one of the best in the world today from that which he has done inside the pool to that which he has done outside of the pool. He will focus on how his train of thought has progressed from his perception of what he thought was a positive decision as an age-group swimmer to what he now thinks is a positive decision as a world-class athlete.

4:15 to 4:30 p.m. – Drill Demonstrations: Adam will demonstrate and discuss one or two of his favorite drills for each stroke that he has learned throughout his career. He will also discuss what he feels has helped him the most to develop in each one of these strokes relating these to that which he feels is the most important technical aspect to remember in each stroke. He will not try to cover a multitude of technical points with each stroke but only those which he felt are most important to the development of his strokes.

4:30 to 5:30 p.m. – Participant Skill & Drill Development: Participating athletes will get into the water to work on the specific drills that Adam has demonstrated to help focus on their technical development. Coaches Goodrich and Nye will assist Adam in working with the participants.

5:30 to 5:45 p.m. – Focus On The Future: Adam will briefly discuss that which he plans to focus on for the remaining duration of his career to achieve his personal goals. He will briefly explain how he sets goals and how he has found ways to measure his progress towards the achievement of these goals. This will be an excellent opportunity for the athletes to understand the importance of visualizing what it is that they want from this sport, and how they need to lay out a path to their own personal success in this sport.

5:45 p.m. – Pictures & Personal Time With Adam: Bring your camera and your questions as you’ll have some time to get your picture with Adam if you’d like and to ask him a personal question one-on-one!
